JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Donation Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Community Donations
REPORTS TO: Director of Logistics
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY:
This position will require travel on a regular basis. Attendant will receive goods donated at the Goodwill Donation Centers and will work at various locations when needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & SUPPORT
- Provide excellent customer service to donors.
- Receive donated goods from donors at the donation center. Assist donors with unloading cars and carrying merchandise. Provide receipts to donors.
- Sort merchandise according to category and place in designated containers.
- Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures.
ANCILLARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Report any known potential losses and work to protect Goodwill assets.
- Keep accurate records of total donors on a daily basis.
- Maintain cleanliness of the donation site.
- Adhere to safe work practices and report any unsafe conditions or actions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year or less of work experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - which may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
- Clear verbal communication skills and ability to give and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Ability to use good judgment and think quickly and rationally in difficult or stressful situations.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT –

- Exposed to moderate noise levels.
- Subjected to varying, inclement outdoor weather conditions when accepting donations and loading or unloading trucks

- Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
